i wanna show you a bit of the 3d editing process and what's behind that
it is a fact that you can't import a mesh into the Designer just like this
it wouldn't work
and i wanna explain you a bit why
with the eyes on the leg
you can see, there are a lot of tiny polygones which are spead all over the edge
in the designer you would have them too and you can see, that they would be impossible to cut, glue and assemble
so i have to remove them and build the model more ore less poly by poly new
here you can see the result of the edited edge
a nice clean sheet
on the top and bottom pieces you can see, the legs are not the only onces which have to edited
all this little needles are polygone taps
ist das münz podest inbegriffen
währe zu gross geworden
ausserdem steht yoshi auch ohne das Teil
Do u have a basic tut for it, I wanna try?
It should also be possible to print with textures, if the UV is available, and it usually is
highpoly is not really possible
the pieces getting too small ore the model too huge
sadly no and i don't know if there is one
(damn, i should really write one )
but it's based on to remove clippings and to make the mesh simple
by the way, after this come the Pepakura designer
it convert the mesh into printable sheets
(just if you don't know )
but even with this you have to change a lot
this programm is...well yes you can call it stupid
The tricky part is, as I see it, to prepare a model which is actually foldable in the end.
Its really a nice idea..
working on this time to time and meanwhile since quite 5 months
i was trying to do my own papercraft with my own 3d models and there was a mess....
