in the case that i'm still working on the yoshie papercraft
i wanna show you a bit of the 3d editing process and what's behind that

it is a fact that you can't import a mesh into the Designer just like this
it wouldn't work
and i wanna explain you a bit why

pic1
with the eyes on the leg
you can see, there are a lot of tiny polygones which are spead all over the edge

in the designer you would have them too and you can see, that they would be impossible to cut, glue and assemble

so i have to remove them and build the model more ore less poly by poly new

here you can see the result of the edited edge
a nice clean sheet

on the top and bottom pieces you can see, the legs are not the only onces which have to edited
all this little needles are polygone taps

währe zu gross geworden
ausserdem steht yoshi auch ohne das Teil :)

das podest währe auch so gross geworden das selbst nur teile davon nicht mehr auf eine seite gepasst hätten :)

im pepakura viewer unter "settings" dann "texture settings"
dort kannst du dann die einzelnen teile auswählen und austauschen :)

it is a wickedly nice idea to produce 3d, then combine it analogously on paper.. really cool!
