Clap-Trap: Torso Top by Destro2k Clap-Trap: Torso Top by Destro2k
here we go
the torso in it's full size and as far as i can build it at the moment

again with the building steps :meow:

pic1
again the basement for the torso

pic2+3
the first row front and back
with the attachments

pic4+5
the second and largest row
that long taps are really tricky

pic 6+7
the last and final row before the cap

the hole thing is currently a bit instable (you can imagne)
because i found no way (yet) for a good stabilization

and the cap is a problem of itself
it's like a big A3 piece what i have to glue on at least 20 taps in different angles :worry:

but yesterday i canceled the work on the torso
and started with the arms :)
and in that time i build them, then I'll think of it ;)

Do you fill that up with something to reinforce it structurally?

i'm think about some cardboard pieces, but i need the arms first
to test how heavy they are
and how much cardboard i need

Oh man, this guy's coming out great! He's entirely paper? You could try building an internal frame or body out of foamcore, or light cardboard.

to extravagant :)
i'm trying to make something just simple
like the toilette paperroll from the wheel

i thought about one single cardboard line from left to right/front to back
just to hole the frame

but first i build the arms to looks how heavy they are :)

Too bad it's not a more manageable size tho...
The build looks good, it's just not really practical.

the problem are still the parts from the arms
i got a few pieces from the "wires"
they are just tiny
also the hole wrist :meow:

Couldn't you just edit the model so those parts wouldn't be a problem?

well, maybe the "wires" could be optional
but the wrist's are .... ahm just bad :blushes:

but that's why i build it first on my own :)
and i think that the size is no matter

when i see that people build a life size link ore a figure of it's own ;P

Eh, I always thought that Link is a bad representation of papercraft. Of course, that's my opinion. I also think this could have been a lot better with a little bit of editing and work.
