the first piece of the new project :)
in the last week i started the croc model
here you can see "my" final pedestal
the pedestal itself is very easy
i finished it in a couple of hours

actually there are a lot attachments like bones and skulls on top of it (not the rocks)
but i cancled the work of them
the pieces are just tiny and a horrible torture
and over three days i just finished two of them

i'll leave them in the later sheets
maybe i build them some other time

about the pedestal itself
maybe you can see this black spots in the center
these are the points where later the model stand on
i put two cardboard rolls (from toilette paper or something else) directly underneath it
that the pedestal can hold the weight

man you just don't stop between models do you?
Would like to see a colab pic of all the models you did in one shot hehe
I would like to do more of these but printer ink is too expensive around here. Plus I need a better printer than this Kodak I have. It seems once one color runs out, the entire cartridge needs replacing which is silly.

Looking forward to seeing this on complete :)

yeah you're right
i should do that but after i finished one, i always say "with the next one ^^; "
do you have compared the ink cartidge with the prize of a copyshop ? (if there is one around you)
maybe it's cheaper (even i don't believe it :D )

like maybe 10 cents US per copy.
I would rather use the convenience of being able to do it at home.
I am looking at an EPSON Artisan atm though.

Whom! i just looked at the image of the Croc's base. i see what your saying about the small bones ! here is idea. " not taking thing from the design". cut of them as a flat design , But roll the prices so they have form .. So if you were look at the leg bone it would have a round curve to in middle. then you could round the edge like a ball. try a practice run a see what happen mite save you some time and head ache :)

i know what you mean
but the problem for me is actually not the size
it's more that the pieces have nothing to do with the model itself
if they would be small attachments on the body, i would build them
the pedestal for me is more like a "tool" that the model don't fall over :)

maybe i start them some other time
but atm i'm not in the right mood to build them
even it would be a great training for my upcoming stuff ;P
