playing a little bit around with Meta
until that point it was just a hell of a work
in the first time i ask
if he could send me some models from Dead Space after i saw his "Wodden Marker"
but there was a huge problem
the UV map was totally destroyed and i was not able to add some textures
so i had to find an other way
and as you can see, i found it
and now watch out
some real big tipps here
i spend the last three days to find out how to get this model
actually i search in google for some keywords like "dead space isaac clarke elite suit 3d model download" and so on
what i found was a converted model for Garry's Mod
i allready have some mdl (half-life˛/source) files but these files are really hard to break
until i found a little tool called "Crafty
where you can convert the mdl files into obj files without any usage of the huge Source SDK package what the "MDLdecompiler" from Cannonfodder need.
on the same page you can find also a photoshop plugin to open the vtf texture files
i spend the rest of the time to pose the model into the right position
well, about the actual model
it's just huge
at the moment it's about 25.000 polygones
but just because of the whole attachments and little 3d details.
you may ask why i'm doing this?
because still i see no reason why i should pay some money for something what i can do on my own (and it's a little revenge to EA )
