EVA 01: Piece Overview by Destro2k EVA 01: Piece Overview by Destro2k
DONE!!!!!

well, not really
this is maybe the hardest part of the hole building process
the joining of the hole parts
and if you look at the original picture here
[link]
öhm.. quite honestly
it looks like an ape

after a month of work, it would be shame and a betrayal on myself if i just connect them

i got not much space
but i got one
so i hope i get a reall cool pose out of the parts
like the revoltech figure

that was necessary, i spend one month to build it and didn't want to mess it up just because i flub at the end

it takes three days to connect all the parts in that way i was finally pleased with :D

how do you connect the pieces? i mean for each part, are the glued internally or do you cello tape?
your patience and attention to the details show in this very nicely!!

i used the most of the time tape, but for the tiny taps that don't work anymore

the parts itself (head, legs, arms) only glue (lot of glue ;) )

but i must say, meanwhile i use more glue as tape, it work better and with the right technique (i should write a tutorial) yiu can build the pieces very fast :)

i actually wouldnt be able to do it at all, as i have a Hyper Thyroid [glad that controls your metabolism] and because of that my hands shake..
it is very difficult for me to do anything that involves holding things let alone tape or glue anything.. so i envy your work as it is something i can only view and never create...

its ok, i push thru life and try to challenge myself thru my art..
its just sometimes the basic things everyone else takes for granted like holding a cup of water, brushing my teeth, buttoning my shirts all take me a very long time..
but i feel i developed a style in my vector art that i can channel my frustrations in life and use that towards my work.. as the years go by i have noticed it has gotten progressively worse and there is no medicine to stop it..

life sucks but our art is golden!!!

What the heck did you sneak into my house and steal my mango?!? Heh, I so just bought a mango that looks the same...Back on topic...Looking really good, so clean and awesome. I bet you are gonna have an awesome finished product.

I just printed a couple versions of the head to this guy, gonna start work on him at some point soon, I found a WALL-E papercraft I wanted to do but some of the parts are too small so I am stuck (damn my big hands). Anyways the point of that whole thing was to say thanks for the template for this guy heh.

I can't wait to see your finished version of this guy. Did you paint or color the edges of the paper to this guy by the way? There are like no white lines (like from the edges of the paper I see on some papercraft).

thx a lot
when the pieces are too small, get a good and acuate forceps to hold the taps together
that's the way i do this
first the tiny parts, then the bigger parts.

no, i don't color the edges, i did this on the lucario model, but the most parts from this model are overlapping, so there is no need to recolor it.

and no, the mango is mine, i bought it from walmart =P

Yeah I picked up an awesome set of jewelers tweezers...The only bad thing is that none of them like lock closed so I have to hold them lol.

As for the edges this was a really well developed papercraft then, glad they did that since it looks so clean (though I think some of that awesomeness comes from your quality building). I appreciate all the help as you and a couple other papercrafters have been quite awesome in helping me figure out how to get started and what I needed to get started :) .

well, it's not so easy
you have to work properly to get no edges
the most important thing is, take your time to build the models.

and by the way
i must also hold the most pieces :P
but if you need a cross-forceps
look at an electronic-store
they should have one to hold the components on the boards
