Yoshi - Arms by Destro2k Yoshi - Arms by Destro2k
actually i want to upload the building process of the hands
but it's no need for, because the half year of editing was really worth and the hands are easy enough that i think you can do it with out a step by step explanation ;)

during the bulding i always look if i can change something ore can make it better/easier and i found a way so that i can say that the model has now a difficult level of 7 instead of 8

but i still have to say a bit about them
because there is a sort of order you have to follow that you can build them right and easy

well, it doesn't make any sense yet, but when you download the sheets when i'm done you will understand ;)

Victory Hand

-build point and middle finger separated and combine them after finishing
-add the pieces of the pinky
-then add the pieces of the thumb

Fist

-build thumb, point, middle finger and pinky separated and combine them with each other if you're done

the connectors (the long pieces)

i prefere to assemble them first on the outside and build to the inside
the hands will change the shapes a few times, specially the fist because the fingers overlapping a bit

a few of you may try to build the hands with round shapes
i can't say if that is working
there are a lot of hard edges and it could be difficult

It's so strange looking through your gallery...I actually really really like the low poly models when I'm working as opposed to extremely high detail "Though to get normal maps and AO they are still necessary"...

Seeing these is like seeing the coolest part of the modeling process in real life, even better than getting a 3d model printed in resin because you can print the high rez texture along with it for the papercraft...

the 3d print has the advandage that you are not limited in the details
with paper it is very hard to fold pieces which are just a mm tiny :)
but as you said, i allready have the color ;)

Nice progress thus far! I am looking forward to being able to make this one too ;) (though first I will need to finish Renamon and I have a deadline of the end of August to get Deathwing's head all done...maybe...I overestimated that one a bit XD)
