Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

i'm pissed
after two years here on dA, i saw a lot of art
i'm following a lot people and i read a lot journals
and it's quite amazing how ofter the same people recieve a DD
since i joined i watch them every day and sometimes it is just annoying

don't get me wrong, i grant every member this award and mostly they deserve it
but must it be every artwork that this or that member upload after four months of totally inactivity or because it's a member of 6 years or a kiriban of 5 million
just because that he get one
i hope can understand me
it is frustrating to see when this or that member with a popularity what some member only can drean about, get one DD after an other, they not even react at comments or write journals like "hey i got my fucking fifth DD" as would it be normal

the next thing what makes me mad about
when people do shots of there art...awesome art and they are a bit blurry or the artwork is not that "super duper high end skill what no other human can do"
they have no chance in the selection
also that you recieve no result if it has been chosen or not
as suggestor sometimes very helpfull <- ironie

not every people got the money for a 5000$ high end macro hdr mirror reflex camera

maybe you know the background of this whole journal
i'm not wanna blame anyone but the system to select the DD sucks in a way
sometimes those who select the artworks (not the suggestors) should take more attention
also i think that a DD should be for everyone and more
POSSIBLE for everyone

then the third thing
i will start an action and i hope at least a few of you will join
i wrote that i'm watching the DD every day
and that what i really miss are of course the papermodels
for me this kind of craft is totally the underdog (like a few others)
or to say it in other words
i wanna see more crafts anyway
that's why i will suggest more of them
... i'll bomb the selectors down with suggestions
it could not be that people spending weeks of work without the right honor
right honor in the way that the people see that dA is not only digital

I understand what you mean about DDs. Never really looked for one myself, but your art is kickass enough to have gotten a few yourself, if people pulled their heads out of their asses long enough to see the art of the craft. And when I say your 'art', I don't mean your photo composition, your picture; I mean the time, inspiration and love put into each 3D model, the turning it into something to share, then carefully building it, all the while with pride that YOU did it and thinking 'this model's so awesome I can't believe I made it and it's almost done hell yeah'.

THAT is what deserves a DD.

maybe this sounds weird but i came that far without any big featuring so why when i have the attention
i hope i explained it well

sadly i recieved a note from a voluntier who told me "the s/he can't feature everything"
what ever this means and i have to say, the suggested model was not a small one
so meanwhile i think, when the model is not a lifesize link or copy of the member or a gigantic origami
or dA related they don't give a fuck about this ART

so i will do something different
and i know what it is
